Abstract:

The paper presents results of optimization of active power filter (APF) parameters connected to a selected bus of a power supplying network. In the optimization process power filter currents are minimized with respect to voltage harmonic distortions (THDV) at the APF connection bus. Results showed, that the APF parameters significantly change not only the THDV on the connection bus but also on the other system busses. Simulation has been performed using Matlab and PCFLO software.
