The paper presents application and first results of some optimization strategies for determination of location and sizes of active power filters (APF) carried out in Matlab and PCFLO software linked by the PcfloPackage library. Numerical verification of the proposed approach has been started with relatively simple case of single APF sizing. Simulations show a very strong link between the chosen goal function and the results. Optimization of APF location will be covered by future works.
